Show, don’t tell

From first lineto something shipped.

Three milestones, one consistent arc. Every TSI program ends with student work you can point a parent, principal, or partner to.

01
Day 01Onboarding

First line of code.

Students log into a TSI-provisioned environment with their school account, pair with a specialist instructor, and write their first script. No installs, no setup—the stack is ready.

Mid-programBuild sprint

A working project.

Mid-semester, students have shipped something real—a multi-page site, a working chatbot, a Unity scene, a hardware prototype. Code reviews from instructors, critique from peers.

A note from the founder

We started TSI in 2016 with one classroom and a stubborn belief: every student in New York City deserves the same access to industry-grade technology that students in well-resourced districts already take for granted.

Ten years later, we’ve grown into more than 200 partner schools across all five boroughs. We didn’t get here by chasing trends. We got here by showing up, semester after semester, with specialist teachers, working curriculum, and the patience to measure what we’re actually changing.

If you’re reading this as a foundation officer, a corporate partner, or a school leader weighing where to put your next dollar — I’d ask you to weigh us by what we ship, not what we promise. Ask us for the partner-school list. Ask for a classroom visit. Ask for the receipts. We’ll send them.

Thank you for being here.
